GPS Tracker Country Coverage
Tack GPS works in 31 countries. Tack GPS Plus Global works in more than 120. Both include a SIM card already fitted and roaming at no extra charge, so there is nothing to set up when you cross a border. The full lists are below.
The short version for most buyers: if the tracker will stay in Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Europe, North America, Australia or New Zealand, the standard Tack GPS Tracker covers you. If it will travel anywhere else in Asia, or through Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Africa or Latin America, you need Tack GPS Plus Global.
Which one do I need in Southeast Asia?
This is the question we get asked most, so here it is plainly. Within Asia, the standard Tack GPS covers only Singapore, Japan, South Korea and Taiwan. Everywhere else in the region needs Tack GPS Plus Global.

If you live in Singapore and the tracker never leaves the country, Tack GPS is enough. If it travels with a family member across the causeway or on a regional holiday, choose Plus. Swapping later means buying a new device, so it is worth thinking about the furthest trip you are likely to take rather than the usual one.
Countries not currently covered
Being straight about the gaps, because it is better to know now. Neither device currently covers Vietnam, mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Brunei, Laos or Timor-Leste. India is available on Tack GPS Plus but has to be switched on for your device first, by emailing support@tackgps.app.
Coverage lists change as roaming agreements change. If a country matters to your decision and it is not listed here, ask us before you buy rather than after.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to buy a local SIM card or a roaming plan?
No. Every Tack device ships with a SIM already fitted, and roaming across the supported countries is included in your Tack Cloud subscription. There is no separate carrier bill and nothing to activate when you land.
Does the tracker switch networks automatically when I cross a border?
Yes. The device connects to whichever supported network is available and strongest, and it changes as you move. You do not need to touch any settings.
What happens if I take the tracker somewhere that is not on the list?
It will not be able to report its position while it is outside coverage, because it has no network to report over. Location updates resume once it returns to a supported country. If you regularly travel outside the list, tell us where before you buy.
Can I upgrade from Tack GPS to Tack GPS Plus later?
Coverage is tied to the device rather than the subscription, so moving from 31 countries to over 120 means changing to a Tack GPS Plus Global device. If a wider trip is even a possibility, it is cheaper to start with Plus.
Why is India listed separately?
India is supported on Tack GPS Plus Global but has to be enabled for your specific device first. Email support@tackgps.app with your device details before you travel and we will switch it on.
Does coverage affect how accurate the tracker is?
Positioning accuracy does not depend on which country you are in. Outdoors with a clear view of the sky, Tack locates to within 3 to 5 metres. Indoors, Wi-Fi positioning narrows it to 10 to 30 metres. Where neither is available, cell tower triangulation gives an area of roughly 100 to 250 metres. What coverage determines is whether the device can report that position back to your phone.
