What is the best GPS tracker for a dog?
Tack GPS is a GPS tracker for dogs with its own SIM, so it shares your dog's location with no phone needed. It sits on the collar in a Wonder Sleeve, alerts you when they leave the garden, and lasts up to 30 days per charge.

Safe zones
The gate was open for four minutes.
Nobody watches a garden all day. A zone alert tells you they have left, so you can start looking sooner.
-
Pin four corners
Around the garden, the yard or the park. Any shape the place needs.
-
“Has left.” “Has entered.”
Know when they slip out, and when they turn up somewhere you know.
-
The whole household knows
Everyone you invite gets the alert, so whoever is closest can go.
Alerts follow the Tack's reporting schedule, so a faster mode alerts sooner. Screens shown for illustration.

Every escape leaves a route. Replay it in OurSphere and you know where to start looking next time.

Emergency Mode is switched on in the app. While the tracker is still, Emergency Mode checks in every 15 minutes, or 8 on Premium, to save battery. Screen shows the Premium plan, for illustration.
What dog owners say
From dog owners who use it.
After enduring the nightmare of my dog slipping out the door and going missing last month, I didn't want to go through that scared or hopeless feeling ever again!… It fits her well and seems to be comfortable on her collar.
I know it’s under the house, but the dog can get places I can’t… Easy to use. Lots of peace of mind.
Useful for people who want to keep track of their pets, kids or elderly family member with dementia. The battery life is really long…

Which one
For a dog at home, the standard tracker is enough.
Both share the same case, the same 30-day battery and the same app. The Plus adds wider roaming plus Fall Detection and Indoor Elevation Finder, which are built for people rather than animals.

Not a Bluetooth tag
An AirTag finds a lost collar, not a running dog.
Bluetooth tags work by borrowing phones from people who happen to be nearby. A dog that has bolted into a field is precisely where there are none.
Bluetooth trackers have no internet connection of their own.
- Needs a crowdOnly updates when a compatible phone happens to pass nearby
- Useless in open groundFields, woods and quiet streets have no phones to borrow
- Last seen onlyShows where it was, not where it is going
- No zone alertsNothing tells you the gate was open
Tack GPS connects to the internet and to GPS by itself.
- Its own connectionReports over the mobile network wherever it has coverage
- Works in open groundA field with nobody in it is exactly where you need it to work
- Route historyReplay where they went, up to 90 days back on Premium
- Zone alertsAn alert when they leave the boundary you drew
Common questions
What owners ask us first.
Tack GPS is a GPS tracker with a SIM card built in, made by Tack One in Singapore. These are the questions our support team hears most from pet owners.
Will an AirTag work for tracking a dog?
Only where there are people. Bluetooth tags have no connection of their own and update only when a compatible phone happens to pass nearby. A dog that has run into a field or down a quiet road is exactly the situation where no phone passes, which is when you need a location most.
Does my phone need to be near my pet?
No. The SIM card is inside the tracker, so it reports its own position over the mobile network however far away you are. You can be at work and still see where they are on the map. A Bluetooth tag, by contrast, only updates when a stranger's phone happens to pass nearby.
What is Pet Mode?
A battery saver you switch on in the app. Tack only reports while your pet is walking and pauses while they rest. Turn it off when your pet travels by car, as sitting still in a moving car is not walking.
How often does it update my dog's location?
That depends on the mode and your Tack Cloud plan, not on the device. While moving, Standard Mode reports every 60 minutes, Active every 10 and Emergency every 2; Premium makes that 10, 5 and 1. While still, it checks in every 4 hours, 2 hours and 15 minutes, or 2 hours, 1 hour and 8 minutes on Premium.
Can I see where my pet has been?
Yes. OurSphere saves every location the tracker reports, so you can pick a day and replay the route on the map. It goes back 14 days on the Standard Tack Cloud plan and 90 days on Premium. Handy for learning the routes an escape artist likes, so you know where to look first.
How heavy is it on a collar?
30 g, roughly one ounce, at 47 x 37 x 17 mm, about the size of a matchbox. That suits dogs and larger cats. For a small or young animal, check the weight against your vet's guidance for collar accessories before buying. The Wonder Sleeve holds it flat against the collar.
What does it cost to run each month?
The tracker needs a Tack Cloud plan to stay connected, from $4.50 SGD per month per device on the 2-year Standard plan. Every device arrives with 30 days included. The device itself starts at $69.90 SGD with no separate SIM or contract to arrange.
